Itches, Scrapes & Scars

Here is the latest YouTube episode of our journey as we continue our exploration of Faith, family and freedom in the Charente-Maritime region of France.

It was an interesting visit, as Andy developed an inexplicable rash over his body and we also managed to get our motorhome lodged against a 400 year old wall! However we also enjoyed some family time swimming in the beautiful Charente river, just south of Ruffec, and managed to catch up with family in the nearby picture-prefect village of Verteuil-sur-Charente.

We stayed at Camping Rejallant, which we would recommend. This lovely friendly site had great size motorhome pitches, but also space for tents or you could book a chalet. The washblocks were spotlessly clean. The onsite snack bar was great and there was also a swimming pool. This reasonably priced campsite was just a few minutes walk from the river where you could go swimming, or hire kayaks. There are also some great cycle trails locally.
