Sometimes you've just gotta roll with it!

This is our story of visiting the incredible Dune de Pilat (Dune de Pyla) in the beautiful Arcachon Bay area on the West coast of France.

As well as giving us time to recover from a nasty stomach bug, we spent a fun few days climbing the largest sand dune in Europe and discovering how best to roll down it! We also ventured over the dune to the beach for a morning. We stayed for 4 nights at Pyla Camping which is literally at the foot of the Dune de Pyla (Dune de Pilat) and we could even walk straight up it from our pitch row. This campsite has good size pitches although it was a little tricky to get into with our long motorhome (thankfully our clutch seems to have survived!!) We’d recommend the restaurant and the swimming pool, the site also has a supermarket, multisports court and kids play area. Watch below to hear more on our dicey parking situation!

Check our Insta page for more photos, including the great sunset we watched, and more rolling fun!
